I am definately not the most stylish mother out there. There is a mother that I see every morning when I drop my daughter off at her preschool and I am always amazed at how she looks. She is one of those mothers that just always seems to have it all sorted. She is beautifully dressed, hair done and always has a smile on her face. This is who I would like to be and always imagined that I would be. But unfortunately it just didn’t work out like that for me. I also am the first to admit that I do struggle in the mornings. I am by myself and still find it hard getting the girls both up and dressed and breakfasted and out the door on time. I don’t have too much time to spend on myself unfortunately.
Occasionally I’ll have a good outfit on, once in a blue moon dare I say even a great outfit . But most the time, if I’m not working and seeing clients that day it will be work out clothes. And before you ask – other than taking the dog for a quick walk round the block, its safe to say that I have not done any kind of exercise that warrented my running shoes and lulu lemon attire.
When I am with the kids, I want to be comfortable and not precious. I want to be able to go to a park without putting down a picnic blanket. I want to be able to quickly kick of my Birkenstocks so I can chase the girls on the sand. I want to be able to feed them without sending clothes to the dry cleaners and I want to be able to get a second wear out of clothes occasionally rather than contributing to my ridiculous piles of washing.
I came across S Brand clothing which was designed by Stephanie Sewitz, a stylish pregnant mum who hated having nothing to wear when pregnant so she took it on herself to design some clothes that could be worn before, during and after pregnancy. Let me make this clear, this is not a pregnancy announcement from me. (I’m busy enough for now thank you very much). But I do know that the pieces I have from S Brand could easily be worn now (and even cover my mummy-tummy) and will be perfect when I do decide that I could handle another little bubba.Don’t believe me about how stylish this brand is? You are not quite convinced yet…? Check out the uber stylish Jenna Isaacman at www.jennaisaacman.com (who is also a mum) gushing about and beautifully modelling some S Brand.
Whether you are currently pregnant or you are in that post pregnancy (awkward) stage, you should totally go check out the range at www.sbrand.com.au.
